It is normed on children who are from English-speaking environments. The raw score indicates the number of phonemes produced correctly. The standard score is based on a mean of 100 and a standard deviation of 15. Percentiles are based on a negatively skewed distribution, indicating that older children with typical development reach mastery in sound production. As a result, standard scores do not have the same corresponding percentiles that they have in a normal distribution.
