Preschool Language Scale – Fifth Edition report template examples.
Incorporating the Preschool Language Scale – Fifth Edition (PLS-5) allows speech-language pathologists to assess a range of language skills in children from birth to 7 years 11 months. Its comprehensive evaluation of both auditory comprehension and expressive communication helps in early identification of language delays, enabling timely, targeted interventions that can improve long-term outcomes.
A robust report template for the PLS-5 should include the child's background information, detailed scores for auditory comprehension and expressive communication, a description of observed behaviors during testing, a comparison to developmental norms, error analysis, interpretation of the results, and individualized recommendations for intervention. This ensures thorough documentation and effective planning for therapy.
